MECS Academy’s Brooklyn Rising Youth Revolution program, is an artistic activist movement that inspires and celebrates Brooklyn Youth visions in Solidarity with One Billion Rising (OBR), OBR Youth Revolution, and V-Day to end violence against women and girls worldwide through activism and artistic expressions —  ART, Dance. Visual Arts. Physical and Immersive Theatre. Film. Sculpture. Painting. Sports. Performances (Live and Recorded). Photography. Digital Art. Spoken Word. Hip Hop. Double Dutch and Music created in conjunction with the talented and visionary young people in Brooklyn, USA.

Young people are entrenched in the world of music and entertainment, performance arts, fashion, sports and social media; Hip Hop is the culture of young people across the African Diaspora of America’s urban youth; Hip Hop has become more than just a music genre; it is a culture embraced by youth worldwide; it is their way of thinking, dressing, speaking, and behaving.
